Loyola UniversityChicago Issues Graduation Diplomas to Class of 2021
Loyola UniversityChicago recently held its graduation ceremony, issuing diplomas tothe graduating class of 2021. Despite the challenges posed by theglobal pandemic, the university was able to hold a successfulceremony that celebrated the achievements of its graduates.
The ceremony washeld outdoors at Loyola’s Lakeshore Campus, with social distancingand other safety measures in place. Graduates were able to celebratetheir achievements with their friends and family, albeit in a limitedcapacity.
In his speech to thegraduates, Loyola University Chicago President Jo Ann Rooney praisedtheir perseverance and dedication in the face of adversity. She said,“You have demonstrated not only remarkable resilience but alsogreat compassion and generosity. You have shown us that you have theability to make a real difference in the world.”
The graduating classof 2021 had to navigate a challenging academic year, with manycourses held remotely due to the pandemic. Despite thesedifficulties, the graduates were able to complete their studies andearn their degrees.
Loyola UniversityChicago is known for its rigorous academic programs, and thegraduating class of 2021 is no exception. Heinspired the graduates to use their education to make a difference inthe world and to stand up for justice and equity.
